
Directing
Born in Turkey in 1988, Hüseyin has lived in France since the age of 3. He grew up with this dual culture. Hüseyin moved towards cinema and filmmaking alongside a Master's degree in Information Systems and New Technologies. In 2011, he self-produced his first short film, La Quatorzième (The Fourteenth). In 2014, his second short film, 8 Mois (8 Months), shot in his hometown village and supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, won the Unifrance Prize at the Tous Courts Festival in Aix-en-Provence. He directed two more produced short films: Une toile d'araignée (A Spider's Web) in 2015, followed by Partir en poussière (Turning to Dust) in 2020, which received a special mention at Interfilm Berlin and was selected for numerous festivals including Palm Springs and Cinémed. Une affaire turque (A Turkish case), co-written with Ludovic du Clary and produced by Les Films du Clan, is his first feature film.
